PROTOTYPING

SINGLE OPERATION TOOLING
Single operation tooling is specified when annual volumes do not justify the complexity and increased cost of a more complex progression tool.
When highly complex forming operations are required, this type of tooling is also generally used. If annual volumes justify it, aligning multiple single operation tools with automated transfer mechanisms can significantly improve this tooling output.

PROGRESSION TOOLING
Progression tooling is specified when annual volumes justify the complexity and increased cost.
We provide customers with an efficient and cost-effective method of producing complex high-volume parts. Cotmor will make an assessment based on complexity and annual volumes at the quoting stage and advise if this method is best suited to your part.
TRANSFER TOOLING
Transfer tooling is specified when annual volumes justify the complexity and increased cost of automating the part transfer process. Progression tooling may not be considered feasible, either due to part size or the inability to create carry points due to the part's complexity.
Transfer tooling can be multiple single operation tools with components transferred between presses or a single tool with the transfer mechanism built in to run in one press.
